Ms Yemisi Ransome- Kuti, Co-Founder Lagos Island Connect (LIC), is an intellectual who does wonderful work by giving back to the Lagos Island community and has had a positive impact on the economy as a whole. Ms Yemisi Ransome-Kuti is an outstanding Nigerian activist who is passionate about her work and excels at it.
^“In the early 1990s, Yemisi Ransome-Kuti established “Girl Watch”; an organization aimed at educating young Nigerian girls from poor backgrounds. In 2006, she was appointed a Civil Society advisor to the World bank.
She was one of those leading the charge in working for Nigeria to meet its millennium development goals and eradicate poverty.”
Ms Yemisi Ransome-Kuti, the Co-founder, made another achievement in the LIC community on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at the WIV Awards Ceremony. The WIV Award ceremony exists to give back to society by recognizing men and women who are agents of change. Ms Yemisi Ransome-Kuti, a civil society activist and co-founder of Lagos Island Connect (LIC), was undoubtedly nominated as an Outstanding Intellectual because she is a true agent of change.
